Meetings are held regularly every week with very few changes. Special Events will be listed on our calendar on this page. Generally a change will be announced to the google group so please check there for any changes. Our regular meetings are listed below:
Mondays are makerspace night, now held at the Santa Barbara Public Library (40 East Anapamu Santa Barbara, CA 93101) hosted by Swiss, where we try and focus on all maker related. From arduino, avr, pic, electronics, and 3D printing. Mondays are held every Monday from 6pm (the library doors are locked at 7, call 805-564-5675). So come on by and see what we’re up to. Also check sbmakerspace.com for further library related info. Mondays in November there will be a sumo bot class at the library, more details coming soon.
Wednesdays are a bit less regular and generally held in various locations around Santa Barbara and Goleta. Web tech Wednesdays are hosted by Steve (aka elimisteve) and emails are sent out in advance with details. Webtech Wednesdays cover a broad range of subjects relating to code and software.
Think tank Thursdays are held at the space and hosted by Swiss. the space is open Thursdays from 6 (i am sometimes a few minutes late opening the space so 6:15 is usually safer if you dont want to wait for a few minutes) til 9pm. thursdays are a bit more broad in focus, basically an open night to come with ideas and projects to discuss and work on them. Thursday topics range from 3d printing to ham radio and robotics. We will also be hosting Sumo bot classes in November on thursday evenings at the space, check the blog for more info.
Saturdays are our general meeting which are open to any topic. Our Saturday meetings draw the most people so if you have an idea for the group, a question to ask, or want to meet the group Saturday is the time to do it. The space is open from 12 till we’re done (usually 9pm or later, sometimes well into the morning).
Days not listed above are open only to members, their quests, first time visitors, those with a Board of Directors waiver, and by appointment.
The space is also open 24/7 for members of the appropriate tiers. If you would like to host an event at the space or access it during other hours not listed above please contact the google group or show up to one of the regularly scheduled meetings.
